Lake Wales Window & Door Replacement
Lake Wales homeowners trust our family-owned team for window and door replacement, from 1920s homes near Lake Wailes to newer houses on the Ridge. Free in-home estimates from Winter Haven.
Replacement Windows and Doors on the Lake Wales Ridge
Central Window Sales replaces windows, entry doors, patio doors, sliding glass doors and storm doors for homeowners throughout Lake Wales, and we have served Central Florida as a family-owned company since 1963. Our Winter Haven home office and showroom is roughly a half hour away, which keeps Lake Wales well within our regular Polk County service area. We work in the historic neighborhoods around Lake Wailes as well as the newer subdivisions on the edges of town.
Homes from the boom years to today
Lake Wales grew up during the Florida land boom of the 1920s, and that history still shows in its homes. The Lake Wales Historic Residential District, added to the National Register in 1997, stretches along the shores of Lake Wailes and includes more than 200 historic buildings. Many older homes here still have original wood windows, French doors and wood entry doors that have warped, rotted or stopped sealing over the decades. Beyond the historic district you will find mid-century block homes, lakefront houses and newer subdivisions, each with its own window and door needs.
Sun, storms and life on the Ridge
Lake Wales sits on the Lake Wales Ridge, the sandy upland that runs down the center of the state. Homes here deal with intense summer sun, heavy afternoon storms and the occasional tropical system, all of which wear on old frames and seals. Low-E glass helps keep heat out of west-facing rooms, and impact-rated windows and doors from PGT add protection, security and quiet. We confirm code requirements for your address before anything is ordered. Many owners also add a storm door or an impact-rated entry door at the front of the house, where a worn wood door is often the biggest source of drafts and leaks.

Great company, I hired them to replace all my windows and wow! We can already feel the temperature difference from the old single pane windows compared to our new double pane windows. It’s much cooler! The warranties that were offered were great too; lifetime glass break protection as well as their workmanship. Highly recommended this company!
Central Windows is a great company! They arrived on time and the installation of 10 windows only took a half day. The installation crew were very professional, respectful of our property and home. They laid down tarps and cleaned up as they installed the windows. We highly recommend Central Windows and we'll use them again for sure.
